His paintings are apparently the result of physical gestures discharged on the canvas with a dramatic impact, but they hide subtle concepts that sustain the vital and esthetic power that the work irradiates. The letters of an ancient calligraphy entangle increasingly indistinct in the sprouting of roots that refer to water, from which everything springs, and to the sign of the logos, origin of every human culture, and to their inextricable intertwining.

The basis of Japanese mulberry paper and Indian ink seem to be flooded by the creative impetus of Tomimori, who knows how to instill in the work a luminous and tonal balance in which black and white are in contraposition within Unicom of the six tables. Imaginary set of a fluctuant space- time, the work knows how to vibrate and develop through an autonomous language whose hybridized signs refer both to the primitive and subterranean roots that branch out, and to the “waves” that incessantly brake and are reborn on the surface. Water seems to hide the mysteries of life: strong because so ductile, it seems to adjust to every room but instead it trans-forms itself while trans-forming everything it touches.

Tomimori says: In the beginning there was water. I remember the shape its heart and I materialize its first chant. In Herman Hesse’s “Siddhartha” the river and the water that flows in it become a live entity and “… whoever could understand its secrets would have also understood many other things, many secrets, all secrets…” secrets that Tomimori seems to grasp and transformed into the sacredness of the form. Moreover, you get the feeling of a dimension that is almost sonorous, a sort of cosmic radiation that permeates the artwork agitating and bringing to life the ancient signs of extinct languages; the intersection of the element of the occurs through strong and light openings, knots of a graph or synapses whose ramifications are surprising due to their profound intensity that fluctuates, wavers and is specular in the inversion of the tones within the two groups made of three panels, which compose the work. A formal symphony with various movements that are articulated with precision and in which the signifier and the significance, the image and its own reflection define a sign of great mastery and technical refinement.
